the stories of a los angeles violinist

goodbye 2013

Added on by Jordan Martone.

2013 has been a rough year. personally and professionally. i took some very tricky classes these past two semesters (and passed!), and i encountered some difficult personal problems. i've learned that i need to be strong and that taking care of myself first is going to be the best medicine. this year has chewed me up and spit me back out, ultimately making me a better person.

this year has also had some greats:

left a terrible job and started a wonderful new one that i love

my episode of "the middle" aired on abc

played in the debut orchestra with john williams at the dorothy chandler pavilion

moved into my first apartment

joined the musician's union

played for carly rae jepsen on access hollywood live

got my first pair of glasses

grew my hair out for the first time in 5 years

started my professional website and this blog

and attended my first red carpet premiere.

so here's to the best and worst of the year that is 2013. that's what this blog is for anyways, remembering the good and the bad, ups and downs of being a musician in LA.

i wouldn't ask for any other life. i love this one.

thanks to the readers of this new little blog! it's encouraging to hear from you.

here's to more adventures and a brand new 2014!
