my baby brother graduated high school.
he has always been more book smart than me. he always beats me at super smash brothers. he is clever and quick-witted and i'm pretty sure he could be either gryffindor or slytherin. (i'm a ravenclaw, btw. i'm not very book smart, but i'm hyper perceptive. remind me to tell you the story of my house-identity crisis sometime. i was almost a hufflepuff...) when carter was 9 and i was 12, he had caught up to my height and people were beginning to think we were twins. i still think we look really similar, even though he's nearly 6-foot and all grown up now.
these are some of his gorgeous senior pictures shot by the incredibly talented Ryan Doyle.
carter is going off to cal poly pomona in the fall to study computer science. we are incredibly proud of him. he has put up with lots of torture from his two extroverted sisters and his mother. poor kid. this family picture kind of shows the family dynamic. we are all incredibly proud of the boy and he's just thinking "are we done with the pictures yet? i'm ready to get out of here."
kenna and i always joke that carter will be our sugar daddy, considering he will be working in computers while the two of us girls are off pursuing art and music. haha...ha...
i'm thankful to carter for being the rock in our family, the constant, the realist. but to me, he's still the little baby brother whose hair i put silly putty in, who put up with me organizing his toys and being bossy. he came out alright despite having crazy sisters.
i'm excited for his future as a bronco.
