i'm in pennsylvania! "what?! but jordan, you never travel!" i know! how crazy is that?
*sidenote: i have no access to a computer, so i'm writing this from my phone and there are bound to be glitches. sorry!
in all seriousness, i haven't flown in a plane since the age of 3 and i have only travelled to oregon, washington, nevada and mexico. i am a stranger to travel.
so, when the martones invited me to come along on their family vacation back to the homeland, pennsylvania, i jumped at the chance. i love the martones and this is an awesome way to meet all of their family that i would otherwise never meet.
so, indulge my flying excitement for a moment, would ya?
things i discovered about flying:
i love take-off
i hate landing
peeing is difficult
planes are more finnicky than i had anticipated.
joe is a pro
we stopped for a connecting flight in chicago and had just enough time to grab a sandwich from potbelly's and board our last flight to pittsburgh. as soon as we got off the plane in pennsylvania we drove straight to the pnc stadium to see the pirates vs. dodgers game. (supporting our LA dodgers from over 1,700 miles away!) this stadium was very new and absolutely gorgeous! all baseball stadiums should be like this one. it was both amazing and terrifying to experience east coast baseball fans. they are way more intense than LA fans, that's for sure. i've never been to a game where the entire stadium was boo-ing the dodgers.
we had amazing seats, right behind home plate and had a gorgeous view of downtown pittsburgh. (they filmed the dark knight rises there. hellooooo gotham city!)
more pennsylvania adventure updates to follow. i am in heaven with all of the green here. coming from a california desert rat, pennsylvania summer is beautiful.
