how to survive LA traffic

Added on by Jordan Martone.

it's no secret that LA traffic is the devil himself. being an LA driver, you learn the freeways and the shortcuts and learn through trial and error that wilshire is the worst... but, no matter what you do, you will always be stuck in some kind of traffic. maybe there's an accident, maybe the president's in town, maybe it's just a friday. it's all inevitable.

so, i've come up with a post about my favorite albums to listen to while being stuck in the devil's hell hole.

john mayer's live album where the light is. it's hands-down my favorite album of his and it's so LA. it's highly recommended for night driving or trying to cool down after a stressful day.

becca stevens' weightless is my go-to rainy day album. she is so soothing and every track is worth listening to.

daft punk's random access memories for when you need to jam. grooving to this one while driving down highland just makes you feel good.

because i'm a huge soundtrack nerd,  how to train your dragon (1&2) by john powell. the beautiful orchestrations and great melodies can brighten anyone's mood, i'm sure of it.

shall we dance is one of my all time favorites. it has a great blend of pop dance beats and beautiful orchestral string pieces. it makes me instantly emotional. gorgeous stuff, folks.

call me crazy, but the kung fu panda soundtrack is really good. hans is hans for a reason. this album gets me ready to kick some LA butt. i'm not ashamed to say that i listen to this while i get ready in the morning.

oh, robots. the poor movie that didn't do very well but had some of the best music i have ever heard. this one is an excellent album to just listen to all the way through. the sound levels are very appropriate for the car because there's none of that turning-the-volume-up-cuz-it's-quiet-now and then gah-it's-suddenly-scary-loud stuff going on.

hope this brightens your commute a little. happy traffic, people.
