the stories of a los angeles violinist

yo-yo

Added on by Jordan Martone.

if you read my last post about the whyman project performing at the VPAC, you know that we had a great experience. so, when they asked us to come back for a second show, we thought "could be fun." and then they said "yo-yo ma" and we all screamed little girly screams of delight.

i've seen this billboard for yo-yo every day on my commute to school.

the concert was sold out with an overwhelming 1,700 people in the audience. and while we didn't get to actually see the concert due to our sound check time, we played for the dinner after the concert for 500 VIPs. ^ this was our view.

ryan was excited, clearly.

this was taken during our sound check. we all wore very fancy clothing, i promise.

the only downside to this gig was that it was a freak 50 degrees outside and windy. so next time, i won't listen when the coordinator requests that the women wear cocktail dresses so i don't freeze my hoo-ha off.

we had great feed back from the guests. even though we didn't get to meet yo-yo, (he left pretty early. the guy's turning 60 this year.) it was an honor to play for him and be a part of such a major event for the VPAC and CSUN. we're proud to represent CSUN students and alumni in a professional way.

by the way, if anyone hasn't checked us out yet, look us up on our website thewhymanproject.com
