sound stage shots. i need to buy my own headphones/in-ears cuz studio headphones are always too large. they fall off my tiny head.
joe's end of the year percussion ensemble concert. he works so hard with these kids and the love and respect they have for him speaks volumes about his character. also, i love a man in concert black.
my kiddos had their end of the year concert as well. these are my 5 beginning string students at colina middle school: 4 violins and 1 cello. we started the year with 5 violins, but one moved away, and then we gained a cellist. these kids consistently walk the fine line between goofy and pissing off the teacher, but i work them hard and they accept the challenges i throw at them.
the best new lunch idea: chicken salad-cucumber sliders.
1 can of shredded white meat chicken, diced apples, mayo to taste, salt and lemon pepper to taste, sliced cucumber. voila. super yummy, super fit for life.
umm... i wore selena's exact same dress for my senior recital?? diana's was just a little too much for me, i guess.
apparently i'm featured in the new 2014-2015 VPAC season brochure. this was shot right before i went on stage as concert master for the CSUN Symphony's Fantasia concert. so i was crapping my pants, and a photographer came right up to me and said "oh! you look gorgeous! look into the light!" i thought he was nuts, but hey, it turned out all right.
got to spend a relaxing weekend with my family. and my puppy. when life changes so drastically (and i wish i could tell you what's happening right now. secrets-secrets.) it's nice to be grounded in family. i'm happy to have them. and the dog. she's great.
there are 38 days till i marry joe. holy poop. we are so ready to do this. this long engagement has been long. our one-year anniversary of our engagement is coming up this month, which a lot of people don't even get the chance to celebrate (you short-engagement folk). i'm ready to make this hunk my husband, and to start our new life together.
this has been an around here lately post. happy hump day, ya camels!
