first time at the bowl this summer! oy, i love bowl season. who doesn't love bowl season? probably the locals that live on highland or the surrounding neighborhoods. but i'm sure they just expect that around 10pm every night of the summer, hollywood traffic goes down the crapper, right? but what if you have a sudden late-night urge for ice cream and you're trapped in your driveway by eager-beaver drivers and you can't get to the ice cream and you go to bed unhappy?

these are the things i think about.

joe made this little smash-up of our first time at the bowl together (when i swore we were "just friends") and our last time at the bowl before we become murrrrrrried! our first time: pixar in concert. our latest time: back to the future in concert.

this was the actual movie, live to picture with the LA phil playing all the music right in front of us. (minus huey lewis and the news. that would've been rad, though.) i didn't realize until we got to our seats and started to much on our picnic-dinner, that i've only seen this movie once in my life at the age of approximately 12. so, this was like experiencing the movie for the first time all over again. it. was. awesome.

on a completely different note, i got buzzed at tiffany's the other day. apparently when you buy your wedding bands and give the nice men in expensive suits lots and lots of money, they decide that the least they could do is pour you a glass of champagne in some tiffany champagne flutes. i now know what a guy feels like when he's purchasing an engagement ring for his soon-to-be fiancé: unsettled.

mom and babykenna came to visit us in beverly hills and we basically spent the whole day together. besides the obvious need for sprinkles ice cream on what was a very warm day, we went to my wedding dress fitting and then spent the rest of the afternoon/evening traipsing about rodeo/beverly while constantly shoving quarters into the parking meter every hour.

joe and i love whole foods for completely legit reasons. the main one being the produce is just so much better than anywhere else. straight up, i cannot go back to vons tomatoes after whole foods ones. (really, joe's mom's homegrown veggies top everything, but i can't have those everyday.) so whenever we want quality fruits and veggies, we go to whole foods. whenever we want frozen chicken breasts or banana chips, we go elsewhere. (ya feel me?)

i've replenished my home-windowsill garden, upon arriving at the conclusion that my apartment does not get enough sun anywhere in order to make succulents happy. yes, they all died. i've discovered, however, that i can handle cacti. so, i did the obvious thing and repotted my dead succulents with new cacti and now we're one big happy family.

i did this stupid quiz. i always fall for these until they ask me a question like "which dog speak to you the most" and then i call b.s. on the whole thing and quit. but, this one is actually pretty accurate. joe is such a wall-e. and i'm a little fiery like eve. okay, a lotta fiery.

he's so patient while i shop. (this is cos, btw. my new favorite store.) we go into a girl store and he just waits patiently in what we refer to as the "man-seat". there's one in every store. it's designed for this exact purpose, i'm convinced.

also, wedding update: we get married in 8 days. holy matrimony, batman!

and that's around here lately! happy weekend, all.
