honeymoon // part 1

Added on by Jordan Martone.

welcome to part one of the honeymoon series! joe and i had a fantastic time traveling to a different country (something i have never done, something joe has done many-a-time) and escaping LA for a little while. we travelled to punta cana, which is in the dominican republic, part of the caribbean islands. this post will contain very few words, as i believe these pictures speak for themselves.

our resort was right on the beach, which we were actually able to see from our balcony. the tropical climate did wonders for my hair and skin, not to mention i actually tanned. *gasp* i know! lets just say that i hope our future babies inherit joe's highly-desirable skin. the resort we stayed at was absolutely stunning with its lush green foliage and white sand beaches and peacocks strutting about everywhere. we heard them talking to each other in the early hours of the morning, almost like roosters but more adorable. our honeymoon was a much-needed and much-appreciated vacation from our hectic pre-wedding lives. while on the island, it didn't matter what time it was or where we had to be. there was no schedule and no responsibilities. this was a revelation for the two of us structured individuals. we run our lives based on the clock. we have synced google calendars and timelines and check lists on the daily, so forgetting that entire part of our brains was odd but appreciated in the long run.

we are thankful for island therapy.

*part 2 coming soon.
