home tour part two! oh man! get ready! i actually had to clean the house for these ones!
as true newlyweds, we have quite a bit of secondhand furniture like these chairs that are clearly falling apart. (look closely.) we picked this tiny table up from ikea, that cheeseboard is my second love, and that is a hollywood bowl poster on the wall.
i love this kitchen. it's surprisingly large for an LA apartment. (thank god.) and it looks much happier post-wedding registry. the kitchen aid is from amazon via my mom, the containers are ikea, the fruit tray-thing is world market, and that cutting board was handmade by my husband. yes, #josephwasacarpenter
bathroom! joe takes a lot of pride in his side of the sink. his shaving tools come from the art of shaving, some crazy european shave shop, and he wears "jazz club" cologne by replica.
you can see my makeup brushes, tangle teaser hair brush, and coconut body butter from the body shop (life staples).
i painted little wall-e and eve up there. wall-e is one of my favorite pixar movies. (it's right up there with ratatouille.) and on our first trip to disneyland together, joe took the "what disney character is most like you" quiz and alas, he got wall-e. the whole story is quite close to my heart.
bedroom! this part of our home is currently under a bit of artistic renovation. especially the particular corner in this photo ^. but joe framed his map of the NYC subway system that he picked up the last time he travelled there, and i just had to share it.
terrariums are from west elm, knick-knacks are courtesy of lifetime travels.
we just got a new bed! if you watched our first vlog, you heard about our bed-shopping adventure. it's finally up and we have a real mattress and everything! adulting, people! the bedding is west elm, the line posters were made by me, but basically jacked from the internet. (when you don't want to pay $30 per poster, you copy it and sketch it yourself :)
my nightstand: metal eiffel tower was a gift, eiffel tower jewelry tray from anthropologie, jewelry stand from west elm/kate spade, apple watch + iPhone station from amazon, cactus from... the earth?
our bedroom is "upstairs" in the loft, meaning it's not actually a private bedroom. it has an open floorpan that opens to the living area below. it's honestly the apartment of my dreams and i never want to move... *wink wink, joe*
and that is our home! the whole 700 sq ft of it! tiny city living at its finest. feel free to comment, like, etc. i love hearing from you all. thank you to everyone who bought us wedding presents to help furnish our place! we are incredibly thankful.
