lush is easily in my top-5 happy places in the world, and without a doubt, joe's least favorite place in the world. (men can't handle the strong smells of gloriousness.) i recently went to lush and thought i'd share what i've been loving.
eau roma water toner water
this item was new to me, so i bought the small size. it's supposed to help soothe dry and sensitive skin, which describes my face to a "T". i have a love/hate relationship with my pale skin. when it looks good, it looks good, but when it's bad it's as bad as an hormonal teenager who needs proactiv... this product smells like rose and even though there's lavender in it, i can't tell. (which rocks, because i'm not a huge lavender fan.)
d'fluff strawberry shaving soap
i first tried a sample of this stuff a few months back and my skin has been so sensitive to razor burn lately that i decided to invest in some shaving cream that would do more than foam up and leave soap scum behind... this stuff has the consistency of cool whip and smells like a strawberry shake from in-n-out. in other words, it's awesome.
catastrophe cosmetic fresh face mask
this is my holy grail product! my face is prone to hormonal flare-ups and breaks out when i use the wrong kind of makeup products even once. (the worst is when i'm on a tv/movie set and the makeup artists use cakey, thick bobbi brown foundation all over my face and i can just feel my face having a panic attack. literally, by the end of a day of shooting, i can feel break-outs forming under my skin.) the perfect counter-attack to any kind of facial-catastrophe (heh heh, see what i did there?) is this face mask. the calamine powder and chamomile calm my skin and have saved me from many problems. i actually used this every day during the week leading up to my wedding and i was lucky to have no break-outs or dry skin at all!
honey bee bath bomb
this is a new bath bomb to me. i'm very particular with my bath bombs because a lot of them smell like "grandmother". (tell me i'm not the only one.) i'm a fan of fruity & mild scents, not floral ones, so this honey-scented bomb seemed like a great one for me. it's also got toffee and orange in it, which i can only imagine would make the bath water look like absolute crap. but, hey!
butterball bath bomb
this little guy is one of the smallest bath bombs at lush, but one of my favorites. it's just straight-up vanilla and cocoa butter. it's the most gloriously moisturizing bath i've ever had and it smells like a sugar cookie. i type this as i'm eating junky place-n-bake sugar cookies with cartoon pumpkins on them (you know, those pillsbury ones that defined your childhood?)
i hope you all had a great labor day weekend and that you took some time for yourself.
